Jonestown: the event that earned Guyana a page in history books

The following videos are from NBC’s report on the events that occurred in Jonestown, Guyana almost thirty years ago. The reason why we chose to post these videos are for the simple fact that they serve as a grim reminder of what can happen when a government is not adequately monitored. It seems like the events at Jonestown could have been avoided if the actions of the government were scrutinize by the people as is in the nature of a true democracy. Read more
