Celebrating the Raising of the Guyana Flag in Lower Manhattan Saturday May 31 2008

Yesterday, May 31st 2008, Guyanese living across in the United States had the utmost privilege of letting the National Flag of Guyana soar in unison to that of the United States in Lower Manhattan.

The event was celebrated by about 400 Guyanese, most of who reside around New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The day was accompanied by a rich cultural celebration from local Guyanese musical artists, cultural dancers, and local political figures among many others. Read more
