Sarah Palin: Her ability to balance work and family?

September 14, 2008

Republican John Mc Cain’s vice presidential pick, Sarah Palin, a mother of five and a soon to be grandmother. At age 44, she wowed conservatives with her family values when she delivered a baby boy with Down syndrome and reportedly was back at work in three days. Was she too busy with her work to pay attention when the eldest of her three daughters was straying?

There are plenty questions about Palin’s experience during her short period as governor of a barely populated state. If senator Mc Cain wins then she will be a heartbeat away from presidency and that is something to enter the political battle.

On September 01st, 2008 Sarah Palin shocked the nation when she announced that her daughter Bristol is five months pregnant. Bristol is 17 and preparing to marry the boy at 18. The guy is 18, barely a grown up kid who can vote and make babies. Cynics ridiculed this teenage pregnancy as a sign that Palin reneged on her family’s own values. And in a recent interview with Culvahouse, Palin disclosed her husband D.U.I charges. How can she possibly run for vice president with everything going on in her life?

I am wondering how the media would have reacted if it was Hillary Clinton or one of Al Gore’s daughter?
