Gounden: Holding out for Justice
September 5, 2008
Today Sept 4th 2008 my fifteen year old daughter was coming home from school and noticed a pile of dog crap in front of our driveway. Everyone knows Hussey (the guy that was arrested for calling us ni**ers and threatening to kill us and burn our house) has two large dogs. My daughter asked Mike Hussey Sr about the dog crap- Hussey jr (adult white male) comes running out yelling at my daughter “I’ll fuc*ing slap that bitch”, my daughter said “excuse me- You wanna hit me!” (months ago Hussey jr was harassing my daughter AGAIN as she was walking home from school- police was called 106pct did nothing AS USUAL!).
Police was called for harassment, officers showed up - gave a nasty attitude to my daughter - went to Hussey jr and was CURSED out! This guy Cursed out the NYPD 106pct so many times- even the neighbors were surprised he gets away with it!
When I got home, I was upset and decided to call the NAACP (we are members). I went with my family and the NAACP president to the 106pct. The officer at the desk asked about our problem, “Oh you’re the guy in Howard Beach! “.NAACP asked for officers names “who are you” “you representing this guy!” “Has it been two years already”, “have a seat”. We waited, there was an empty waiting area. The officers had a huddle meeting. We waited for a while, I asked “why are we waiting”, “there are two burglaries, the sgt is busy!”. I asked for the sgt’s name, “I don’t know his name” - I then said “you don’t know the duty sgt’s name?”, “yea I know his name”. I told the NAACP “this is the type of BS I’ve been putting up with for the past two years. They saw the angry smirks on the officer’s face . I told the NAACP “at least this time they did’nt threaten to arrest me”. Someone finally got to see in REALITY just how nasty these NYPD officers treat minority victims!
Tomorrow we go see the captain of the 106pct AGAIN! (with the NAACP this time)
enough talk, time to walk! where’s my people at!

One Response to “Gounden: Holding out for Justice”
Got something to say?

Howard Beach is an example of how Apartheid is alive an well in the good old USofA.
But what is more alarming and disgraceful is the fact that the Black, Latino, Asian and so called progressive white politicians in Queens never came to the assistance of the Gouden family.
While Joe Addabbo {councilman} continued to be part of the lynch mob attacking the Gouden family, all these politicians were silent. All, only concerned with their re-election or taking their orders from the {un}Democratic Queens political machinery.
As Mr. Simon, representative of Congressman, Gregory Meeks, told me in the presence of the Congressman, that they couldn’t do anything for the Gouden family because they were too busy with the Sean Bell case. To which I responded, if the Congressman could only deal with one issue at a time. They both became silent. And also lied to me that they were responsible for the 24 hour police protection the Gouden family received. Chris Gouden later verified that they were not responsible for the police presence.
It also demonstrates the corrupt mentality of State Senator Malcolm Smith, whose main objective is to become majority leader and embrace and support Joe Addabbo for the State Senate. RACIAL JUSTICE IN THIS CASE IS NOT IMPORTANT. POWER IS MORE IMPORTANT. Talking about sleeping with the devil. How unprincipled. of all these politicians.
The number one issue in this country; RACISM ignored.
Oh, how the great American Civil rights leaders: Nat Turner, Gabriel Prosser, Denmark Vesey{3 slave rebellion leaders} Frederick Douglas, Harriet Tubman, W.E.B. DuBois, Paul Robeson, Malcolm X, Medger Evers and Dr. King {just to mention a few} must be turning in their graves and crying shame on those so called politicians/leaders, who are just standing by as the attacks on the Gouden family continues.
And then we have our fearless Guyanese “leaders” headed by none other than Taj Rajkumar, the head Guyanese Judas and #1 puppet of the Queens Democratic machinery, who is supposed to be a district leader, but never did anything on behalf of the Gouden family. He is the leader of a group of Guyanese traitors in our community.
I urge all Guyanese to wake up and become involved in matters that affect our communities, whether its in Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Manhattan or Staten island. AN INJURY TO ONE IS AN INJURY TO ALL. Especially when its a race issue. Remember, whether we are Afro or Indo Guyanese, we are in the same boat in America. We need to be active and support other communities in their struggle for justice.
We need to come together and end this nonsense about Indo-Guyanese not going to Brooklyn and Afro-Guyanese not coming to Queens. Our struggles in America are the same. Lets come together and join hands in solidarity with our African American, Latino, Native Americans, Women, Gay and Lesbians sisters and brothers to end the ills of our society.
Political knowledge and involvement in our communities will help to uplift as a community. Let us define who we are and don’t let others do it for us.
I want to end with this. The ONLY politician who came to the assistance and continue to be supportive of the Gouden family is councilmember, CHARLES BARRON of Brooklyn. Of all the politicians in New York State, he is the only HONEST one. Whether you agree with all his positions on issues or not, he is principled and is a fighter.
I urge all Guyanes to support him next year when he is a candidate for the Borough President of Brooklyn.
On September 9, 2008, support the Barron team: INEZ BARRON, for STATE ASSEMBLY, 40th AD; KEVIN POWELL, for CONGRESS, 10th CD;
IN Solidarity
