aristo’s rant - Republican National Convention
September 2, 2008
Tonight there were speakers such as former Senator and Presidential hopeful Fred Thompson and Joe Lieberman speak highly of John McCain’s judgment and service to our country. They pressured the Democrats just where they needed to in order to appeal to undecided voters: pro-life rights on abortion, Obama’s lack of experience, and the Democrats’ track record of being soft and not standing up for anything. They also attacked on matters of big government which Democrats seem to favor with huge government services.
The one thing that caught my attention was the last moments of the convention. While MSNBC, CNN, FOX, and ABC all edit live footage from an event they claim to cover, C-SPAN covered the Convention in its ENTIRETY, which is why I am grateful I tuned in tonight. There was a Rabbi from Mississippi that came to the stage to cite the a biblical quote and say a prayer in Hebrew and in English, while all other stations switched their cameras off of it to have their political foulmouths throw out senseless opinions to get paid their six figures.
Why would they close the Convention with a Rabbi? Why did the other stations it was not important to show this even though they promise the people the Convention televised uncut?
Could it be that over 17% of our citizens believe Jesus will return to this world to Jerusalem? Is this the main reason why we blacklist, intimidate, and/or strike anyone or any country that questions Israel’s quick temper?
Why do we need to support Israel? We helped them create their sovereign state by taking land away from the Arabs. We’ve given them trillions of dollars in aid in a period of over 50 years of Israel’s existence. Why do we owe them anything? Don’t we owe our own citizens fiscal stability before we run around policing the rest of the world?
There were Christian people out in the crowds of the Convention with tears in their eyes, others with their eyes closed in prayer as the Rabbi spoke.
If I did not close my eyes in respect of the Rabbi and his worship of Jesus and the state of Israel, am I considered un-American? Where is our freedom of religion?
SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY.

Got something to say?

Well you missed the point in your last sentence … not something is wrong in this country, pretty much everything going on in this country since 2000 and the RNC spin machine is wrong!
Do we seriously think the democrats can fix this hole we cannot seem to climb out of?
