aristo’s rant - Democratic National Convention

August 28, 2008

We have come to a close in the 3rd night of the Democratic Convention. Viewers were dazzled with star politicians such as Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and Ted Kennedy, who is making a comeback from brain cancer.

A list of such political celebs were supposed to do the things that Barack Alabama cannot do, which is bash the Republicans for 7 years of domestic and foreign turmoil. Many viewers will say they have done so. But the question is: could the Democrats have done more?

Bear in mind that the Democrats were here all along while there were bad decisions on the executive level coming one at a time. In a true democracy, those responsible for fooling the American public and lying to get us into a war would be considered war criminals. The truths of the current administration are evident and known by the greater majority of America’s citizens. But have the Democrats come out of their soft shell to expose the new generation Neo-Conservative Republicans?

I think not.

The Democrats can spark a voice in this country that has been waiting to erupt. Tonight they can free themselves of the pushover title and prove to the rest of us that they can stand up for themselves.

Last night’s close to the Democratic National Convention sparked Democrats to rally for Barack Obama as he single-handedly blasted the Neo-Conservative Republicans from various angles.
I believe Obama’s speech was cautiously great, and I’ll tell you why.
The problem with Obama’s campaign is that it is engulfed by Democrats that went along with the Bush administration on issues such as the invasion of Iraq and the spying on the American people with the Patriot Act. One explanation as to why many Democrats such as HIllary Clinton and Joe Biden went along with these things could be the fear of seeming unpatriotic and not willing to do what it takes to keep the American people safe. They sure kept us safe, alright. They kept themselves safe from Americans that would want to speak out on these defaults of the Constitution.
Obama nor his campaign can call out anyone in the administration because they allowed it to happen, thus making fault equally theirs. The odds that an Obama administration would go back and grab those responsible for our crumbling economy and reputation is next to nil.
I look forward to seeing what the Republicans will do at their convention, and also to see what Congressman Ron Paul’s rally will be like.

Got something to say?
