aristo’s rant - What Hillary C. is trying to accomplish
March 8, 2008
The Clintons have a long run in U.S. politics which goes back for decades. One would think that after all these years, they would fight kicking and screaming to get Hillary nominated as the Democratic Presidential candidate, and you’re right.
The Clinton campaign have been successful at using their strong ties in New York to fudge the primaries (and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was done in other states as well). Yes, it was rigged. There are 60 Districts in the State of New York where there were zero votes for Barak Obama, 17 of them coming from the Harlem area. Would you believe that 0 people in 17 Harlem districts all voted for Hillary, when Obama has been over 80% of the African American vote? Highly unlikely. Bill Clinton has had an office in Harlem since the 90’s. Perhaps he used his ties in Harlem? Highly likely.
Her “fear mongering” tactics have actually worked in Ohio and Texas with the famous 3 a.m. red telephone call. For those that don’t know, the red telephone in the White House is only called when there is a crisis on U.S. soil or our troops are under attack on foreign soil.
Although it is mathematically close to impossible for her to catch Senator Obama in the delegate count, she is still trying to make her case to the superdelegates that she is the one for the job.
Superdelegates have the final say after America votes, which means they can overturn the popular vote. This is another unlikely event, but it has happened once or twice in the past.
What Obama has brought to the 2008 election process is record numbers of new voters to the polls. If Clinton succeeds at convincing the superdelegates that Obama isn’t the right man for the job, I believe this surge of voters he has awakened will go back to sleep, disenfranchised, not believing in the system. Still, tooth and nail, the Clintons will stop at nothing, even if it is at the cost of severing the Democratic party.
If this happens, the Neo-Conservative Republicans will steal the show.
Republicans will NEVER vote for Senator Clinton because they know the politics she will bring, the kind of person she is, and the very reason she is running for President. Many Democrats will feel cheated, as they came out in record numbers to have something they don’t understand (and don’t want to) such as the superdelegates overturn their votes. They WILL NOT VOTE in the general election, and I don’t blame them.
Stay tuned to more of the rant.

Got something to say?

If the super-delegates have the final say then what power does the people really have Sunil?
I think it’s a horrible idea to have such a thing as the superdelegate process as well. I wouldn’t put it past the Clintons to take this thing to the bitter end, and I wouldn’t be surprised it the superdelegates are forced to choose between the two Senators.
