According to caribbeannetnews.com, Trinidad will aid Guyana with some of the necessary tools to combat the recent upsurge of violence. This comes at a time when the actions of the Guyanese government are questionable in reference to accountably and responsibility to the Guyanese people. It begs the question as to the recent admittance by Jagdeo that the country’s police force is thinly stretched, was the police force not thinly stretched many years ago or is it only now that he sees the importance of sound criminal justice system? It is not as if crime is a new term to the Guyanese people. Guyana has had its share of criminal activity. It is sad to know that people have to die for change to occur but it is not as if history did not predict this. History usually repeats if changes do not occur when aversive events arise and such is the case in Guyana.

Tell us what you think about the situation in Guyana? Would the aid of Trinidad be enough or should the UN step in?
